Waseda Friendship Network (WFN)

About
Waseda Friendship Network (WFN)

Tokyo can be a lonely place for Waseda University students who are not from Japan/Tokyo (international or domestic students). The WFN is an informal program to promote friendship and intercultural community by helping students who are not from Tokyo (including both domestic and international) connect with students who are.

Be a friend or find one

  • If you are from Tokyo and or are Japanese and you want to be a generous host then sign up to connect with someone looking for a local friend!

  • Students who are not Japanese or not from Tokyo and are looking for a local friend should sign up too!

Sign up to be matched with someone

  1. Students will be matched together on a rolling “first come, first serve” basis (i.e. the first people on the list will get first priority)

  2. Fill out a Google Survey registration form at the link or QR code below

  3. Wait for my contact when I am able to find a potential match for you

Find something to share together, like…

  • Visit a shrine

  • Eat at a delicious local restaurant

  • Discover a new neighborhood

  • Celebrate some holiday (e.g. New Years, Christmas, Hanukkah, etc.)

  • Enjoy a social activity/festivity (e.g. a baseball game, O-Hanami, etc.)
